About the Scan - Heart and Vascular MR Angiography

SMIL offers a heart and vascular MR Angiography (MRA) in Scottsdale, Arizona. Heart and vascular MR angiography takes images of the blood vessels in the body to identify cardiovascular diseases and abnormal vascular anatomy.

Other conditions that can be examined or determined during a heart and vascular MR angiography include:

  • An aneurysm or weakness in the wall of an artery.
  • A narrowing of the aorta, or aortic coarctation.
  • Bleeding in and along the wall of the aorta
  • Evidence of stroke
  • Signs of heart disease
  • Diagnose other cardiovascular diseases
  • Inflammation of blood vessels, called vasculitis
