SMIL is proud to offer AI-assisted mammography technology as part of this commitment to excellence. This advanced technology provides our breast imaging radiologists with an additional layer of review during screening mammogram interpretation -- at no added cost to patients.

MammoScreen® is FDA-cleared, comprehensive breast cancer screening software designed to assist radiologists in reading digital mammograms to detect and assess suspicious tissue. It provides support by handling the tedious tasks of reading exams -- such as confirming image quality, measuring breast density, or highlighting suspicious areas. MammoScreen® can also manage a radiologist's worklist by moving difficult cases to the beginning of a shift and prepopulating case management recommendations to further avoid fatigue and eye strain.

MammoScreen® was the first Artificial Intelligence software to incorporate a patient's prior mammograms and health history into its algorithm to calculate and predict risk, and updates with every new exam added to the patient's record.

And if additional care is needed, you are never alone. In the event a patient gets called back for additional imaging from a screening mammogram, we have special reserved spots to get them in right away. Additionally, we have certified Breast Nurse Navigators at every diagnostic site to help guide, educate, support and coordinate care for patients throughout the follow up process.

AI does not replace the radiologist -- it enhances the expertise, confidence and precision of the physicians caring for you. And consistent with our patient-first philosophy, this technology is included at no added cost to patients.
