Preparations- Neck CT Scan

To prepare for a neck CT scan at SMIL, dress in comfortable, lose fitting clothes. At the appointment, you will be asked to remove any metals that might obstruct scans of the neck such as earrings, glasses, dentures, dental implants or bras with metal wire.

Keep taking your regular medicines prescribed by your doctor. Please inform our office of any known allergies to medications. Also, let our contracted Radiologists know if you have asthma, multiple myeloma or any disorder of the heart, kidneys, or thyroid gland, or if you have diabetes before receiving a neck CT scan.
