Preparations- Ultrasound Guided Breast Biopsy

On the day of your ultrasound guided breast biopsy at SMIL, you should wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. You will be asked to remove any piercings or metal close to the breasts. Prior to your ultrasound guided breast biopsy, you should let your Radiologist know about any recent illnesses or medical conditions. You will also need to inform your Radiologist about any medications you are currently taking.

My daughter has autism and was getting her first MRI and IV (for the contrast). I can’t believe how kind and caring the staff was from the moment we walked in the door! They really went the extra mile to make her comfortable.
