No special preparation is necessary before MR arthrography at SMIL. Diet restrictions are not needed unless a sedative will be given. You will be asked to change into a gown. Metal and electronic objects are not allowed in the exam room and you should remove all jewelry and metal if possible.
You should inform your Radiologist of any medications you are taking, medical conditions, recent illnesses, and allergies you might have. You should also inform your Radiologist prior to your MR arthrography of any recent injuries or if you have claustrophobia or anxiety.
