Preparations – CT Arthrography
No special preparation is necessary before a CT arthrography scan. There are no diet restrictions unless a sedative will be given.
You should inform your SMIL radiologist of any medications you are taking, kidney problems, or allergies to iodinated or gadolinium-based contrast materials. Also, inform your SMIL radiologist about recent illnesses or other medical conditions.
Jewelry and other accessories should be left at home if possible, or removed prior to your CT arthrography scan.
